Our story

We started with one complaint.

Cotton underwear is rough. You stop noticing because you have never worn anything else, but put bamboo on for a morning and the pair you own starts to feel like a dish towel. That was the whole beginning of Nuorth.

Bamboo viscose has a finer fibre and a smoother surface than cotton, so there is nothing catching against your skin. The same structure moves moisture to the outside of the fabric where it evaporates instead of holding it against you, which is why it also stays comfortable when things get warm. Soft first. Cool as a consequence.

We spent a long time on the knit before settling. Lighter fabrics went semi transparent when damp and started pilling inside a month. Heavier ones sat hot. What we landed on drapes properly, holds its shape, and gets slightly softer over the first few washes rather than worse.

We sell in multipacks because that is how underwear is actually used. Nobody owns one pair. Single pairs mostly exist so the multipack looks like a bargain, and we would rather skip that and price the multipack properly in the first place.
